MasterInChess Openings System (MICOS) organizes 3,815 chess openings into 5 Main Groups and 57 Opening Groups, creating a structured system for identifying, studying and training chess openings. MICOS is strictly move-order based, with each opening classified by its exact chess notation and assigned its own MICOS code.
