Set Up a Chess Position

• 🧹 Clear Board removes all pieces from the chessboard.
• 🏠 Start Position restores the normal starting position.
• Click a piece below the board, then click a square to place that piece anywhere on the board.
• Click Remove Piece From Board, then click any piece on the board to remove it.
• The indicator below the board shows whether it is White to move or Black to move.
• Paste a FEN position from other chess websites, such as Chess.com or Lichess, then click Load FEN.
• Click Copy FEN to copy the current position for use in other chess programs or websites.

Analyze and Play Against Stockfish

• Set up the desired position.
• Turn on GAP to analyze the position.
• Choose a playing strength: Beginner, Club Player, Master Player, or Grandmaster.
• Choose whether you want to play ⚪ White or ⚫ Black. Click ✅ Play to begin the game from the current position.
• During a game, click 🛠️ Setup to return to Chessboard Editor mode.
• Click 📥 Download PGN to save your played game for later replay, analysis, or continued play in MICOS GAP.
